I should add here that for a long time now I have been quite happy with just using a combination of Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Anti Malware to handle virus and spyware chores.

I also noticed that Flash Player is located in Control Panel under “System and Security.” I don’t know if it has always been there or not but what does the player have to do with security? Of course who knows what or how many other files were sprinkled throughout my system during the installation. I don’t particularly care for McAfee products and so I was pretty mad that Adobe had installed it without my knowledge or permission or any mention of it at all before or during the supposed “upgrade” to Flash Player! I immediately uninstalled the McAfee using the uninstaller that was downloaded with the program. Sure enough, it was a full blown McAfee Virus Scan program with all of its associated files including automatic updating. I right clicked it to check the properties and path and then went to Program Files (x86) on my hard drive where it had been installed. When it was finished I noticed there was a new shortcut on my desktop for McAfee Virus Scan.

After reading it over I accepted the download since I never had any problems with updates from Adobe in the past. This morning when I turned my computer on there was an update available for Adobe Flash Player.
